CORONAVIRUS [COVID-19] UPDATE

- BHS cancels local events until the end of June 2020
- BHS sets up Coronavirus (Covid-19) online hub to help the equestrian community
The British Horse Society (BHS) has been providing members, stakeholders and the wider equestrian community with up to date information and advice about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak to provide much needed support. The BHS has set up a dedicated online hub with advice and regular updates as the situations continues to evolve. Visit the Coronavirus hub here.
The BHS has cancelled or postponed all BHS local events and gatherings, BHS Assessments CPD activity, Safeguarding and First aid courses until the end of June 2020. Details of all the cancellations can be found on the Out and About page along with details of the large equestrian events which are now also announcing cancellations.
We have not asked our BHS Approved Centres to close. The BHS advises that Approved Centre activity and freelance coaching by APC is able to continue with the following considerations (find out more here).
Recreational riding for those who own, share or loan a horse is still deemed an appropriate form of exercise and is not affected by the latest Government advice.
