Go go go…..
Entries are limited and will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and will close on Friday 28 October or when the class is full, whichever occurs first. Entries are restricted to one team per club; however, clubs may enter as many individuals as they wish providing space permits. Payment must be (and can only be) made via the BRC Entry Website to receive an entry form from BRC HQ, this is to ensure the classes do not become oversubscribed.
Recorded tests must be received by Sunday 13 November. Details of how to submit the test will be sent out with confirmation of your entry once it has been accepted and will also be available on the website.
Christmas jumpers (instead of show jackets) and tinsel/decoration is encouraged so get festive. However please note any decoration must not impede the horse’s way of going or compromise the horse’s welfare. Horses must not be wearing boots, or any tack not permitted in a dressage test.

We all had a fantastic relaxed 2hr hack round Ashridge Estate, setting off from our yards at 7am to beat the midday heat. All the horses young, old, mares, geldings all gelled together as one big herd and enjoyed their new mates and surroundings. N.R.C. members enjoyed fantastic scenery and like minded company as we headed towards the beacon climbing high to admire the views, passing a windmill and a scattering of rare flowers that looked like silver paper glistening in the sunlight all around us and in the distance the faint view of the chalk lion within the hills. I felt like I was on a holiday trek loved every minuet made even more special riding with fellow riding club members.

NRC had a super day at the Arena Eventing.
In the 70cm, Sharon Wood placed 1st individually. Our 70cm team Sharon Wood, Abby Ballard and Nichola Peace also placed 1st out of 4 teams and were the only team with 3 clear rounds, finishing 30 points clear of the 2nd placed team. They go through to the Championship at Aston Le Walls 10-12 March 2023. Tara Lyons and Sparkle also took on the 70cm course and did well but were not able to finish this time. I’m sure they’ll be back again next year!
In the 80cm, Sharon and Molly just missed out on a 2nd clear when they tipped the last plank.
In the 90cm Matthew Powers rode Noel Cochrane’s Tricky as Matt’s horse Benson is injured. Despite having not teamed up before, they jumped a super clear to place 4th.
In the 100cm Noel and Tricky jumped another clear to place 2nd overall (but got time faults for going too fast!). Noel also qualified for the Championship as the highest placed individual outside of the winning team. Mikey Winn and Jackson had an unlucky pole to finish 6th overall.
Thank you to our helpers Laura Newton, Moira Winn and Maha Mekkaoui for enabling our members to compete.

Placing 4th and 6th at the Littlebourne arena TREC Competition.
Congratulations to our winner Tara Lyons first place honours in the Intro B
